Racing: Hannu Manninen (FIN) makes the podium on home turf

Hannu Manninen (FIN, Fischer skis and boots) only had to accept defeat to Magnus Moan (NOR) at his home World Cup in Lahti (FIN). The Fin finished just 2.3 seconds behind the winner and but ahead of Tino Edelmann (GER) in second place and was obviously happy: "It was a great race. I am very satisfied with my podium place. It is nice to be in Lahti again after a one year break."

Fourth place was ensured by Mario Stecher (AUT, Fischer skis and boots), who layed the foundation of his success by taking second place on the jumping hill. His teammate Felix Gottwald (AUT, Fischer skis and boots) instead was in 37th place after the jump and improved up to fifth place thanks to the fastest time on the tracks.

The third man of the winning Austrian relay team from the Olympics, Bernhard Gruber (AUT, Fischer skis and boots), achieved sixth place ahead of his brandmates Francois Braud (FRA, Fischer skis and boots) and Akito Watabe (JPN, Fischer skis and boots) in seventh and eighth place respectively.

With his tenth place today, Jason Lamy Chappuis (FRA, Fischer skis and boots) has already won the Nordic Combined Overall World Cup. With two races to go with 995 points on his side the Frenchman can not be caught anymore by the currently second-placed Felix Gottwald (719 points).
