Racing: Top seven with Fischer at the Ski Jumping in Kuopio (FIN)
At the Ski Jumping in Kuopio (FIN) "Yellow" was once again the dominating colour on the hill. In the end the seven best athletes succeeded with Fischer.
On the top of the podium Simon Ammann (SUI, Fischer) stood once more above the rest. The 28-year old Swiss seems to be unbeatable at the moment and claimed the fifth victory in a row in an individual competition. "It’s a lot of fun right now. I was doing well the whole season, but right now I’m in great shape. I’m happy with the result," said the satisfied winner. With two remaining competitions the double Olympic Champion from Vancouver (CAN) is in the lead of the Overall World Cup with the hardly beatable advantage of 182 points ahead of Gregor Schlierenzauer (AUT, Fischer) who finished in eleventh place today.
His neighbour was again Adam Malysz (POL, Fischer) who was next to Amman in second place in all of his five victories. Just 0.2 points back Anders Jacobsen (NOR, Fischer) completed the Fischer podium in third place after improving up from fifth place in the first round.
Another four Fischer eagles succeeded in fourth to seventh place respectively with Andreas Kofler (AUT, Fischer), Thomas Morgenstern (AUT, Fischer), David Zauner (AUT, Fischer) and Emmanuel Chedal (FRA, Fischer).
