Simon Ammann (SUI, Fischer), Adam Malysz (POL, Fischer), Thomas Morgenstern (AUT, Fischer) and Gregor Schlierenzauer (AUT, Fischer) claimed a four-fold victory with Fischer in Lahti (FIN).
The Olympic high-flyer Simon Ammann was also unbeatable in the first individual competition after the Olympics. In his last jump he even started from one start gate lower, which meant 3.5 bonus points with the new regulations. In any case he had the longest jump just like in the first round.
Second place was ensured by Adam Malysz with jumps of 126 and 130 meters. the double silver medalist from Vancouver/Whistler (CAN) thus finished 0.9 seconds ahead of Thomas Morgenstern, who completed the Fischer podium in third place with jumps of 123.5 and 130 meters.
Due to his sickness Gregor Schlierenzauer, who started with a heavy cold, was satisfied in fourth place. Michael Uhrmann (GER, Fischer) was able to improve up from 16th to sixth place thanks to an amazing second jump. Harri Olli (FIN, Fischer) likewise was able to improve in the second round from 13th up to seventh place. David Zauner (AUT, Fischer) in tenth place likewise made the top ten.
